While I was writing “The Trojan Peace: First Light” and “The Trojan Peace: Half-Light,” I thought a lot about cosmology–about what people (especially ancient people) think about the sky above them. Obviously, earlier cultures came to very different conclusions than we do now: they had a different knowledge base and different relationship to the world around them. In my books, the scholars make conclusions about the night sky that we would find odd but that, to them, are very plausible. I’ve always been fascinated by the world’s “sky stories” and wanted to post a link for those who are interested: History of Cosmology.
